Instinx

The paradigm shift shirt was inspired by the Kuhn cycle proposed in 1962 as an ulterior way to understand how knowledge progresses & new knowledge is formed. At the time, it was assumed there is a steady progression of knowledge where new ideas consistently form & knowledge accumulates. Kuhn, however, argued the largest advancements in knowledge occur through occasional bursts where we fundamentally change our approach or way of thinking about things.

This shirt aims to portray the cyclic way knowledge progresses by segregating the process of a paradigm shift into three separate stages: objective, examination, & the ultimate paradigm shift. While the first two are preparatory stages, the final stage reflects the exact moment a shift occurs. For more details see our instagram posts at @instinx.berlin
